6. Spread Spectrum Radios

7. Pakbus & Pakbus Graph

Presentation on Pakbus, what it is and why/when would you should use it. This workshop will also include Pakbus commands within a datalogger, creating Pakbus networks, associated tools for working with these networks (Pakbus Graph and Network Planner), tips and tricks, common problems in Pakbus networks, and question/answer time.

8. Cellular Modems

Presentation on selecting modems and antennas, selecting a data plan, configuring the modem for PPP (including why you would do this), creating multi-type modem networks (phone to rf, phone to RS485), using Network Planner, troubleshooting routines, common problems, example case studies, and question/answer time.

9. Ethernet Communication

This session will focus on using different Campbell Scientific supported devices for connecting to a datalogger via an Ethernet connection, including which one to use, how to configure the device and/or the datalogger, common problems, examples, Ethernet communication related commands within the newer dataloggers, and question/answer time.

11. Analog Sensors

This session will focus on analog measurements (voltage, resistance, and current measurements). This will include examples of analog measurements, techniques for making good measurements, options for fast measurements, self calibration, ratiometric measurements, troubleshooting bad measurements, variations in parameters associated with analog measurements, and question/answer time.

12. Satellite Modems

This session will take a look at some of the different satellite communication options available, including Campbell Scientific sponsored products and other third-party products. The session will include a discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of the different options (to help identify when one solution would work over another solution), hardware examples of some of the different options, and question/answer time.

13. Vibrating Wire (AVW200)

This session will focus on making vibrating wire measurements with the new AVW200. There will be instruction related to using the AVW200 instead of the AVW1 or AVW4, configuring the AVW200 to make a measurement, how the AVW200 makes measurements, vibrating wire networks, common problems and troubleshooting, measurement examples, and question/answer time.

14. Camera (CC640)

This session will focus on working with the CC640 camera. Discussion will include camera settings, communication between the camera and a datalogger, file management, file retrieval, publishing of images, a working example, common problems and troubleshooting techniques, and question/answer time.

15. Industrial Protocols

This session will discuss the different industrial protocols Campbell Scientific supports via the datalogger or via software. This will include the processes for using these protocols, common problems and troubleshooting techniques, examples, and question/answer time.

16. Data Output

This session will focus on methods for getting data from a datalogger without using Campbell Scientific software. Topics will include datalogger instructions used to achieve this output (ftp, email, etc.), programming examples, discussion of common errors, troubleshooting techniques and question/answer time.

17. Installation Best Practices

This session will provide Campbell Scientific's view on weather station related installation best practices. This will consist of referring to standards, selecting a site, installing and locating sensors, selecting the right tower/tripod and mounts for the system, surge suppression and a few other tips and tricks. There will be question/answer time at the end of the session.
