A100 Null Modem Adapter for Rechargeable Power Supplies

Überblick

The A100 Null Modem Adapter can fasten onto a PS150, PS200, CH150, or CH200. It is used to power peripherals and external devices at non-datalogger sites such as repeater stations. When the A100 adapter is connected to a power supply or regulator, the power supply can source both 5 Vdc and 12 Vdc. When used with a CH150 or CH200 regulator, either a BP12 or BP24 battery pack is also required at the non-datalogger site.

Technische Beschreibung

An A100 Null Modem Adapter fastened onto a PS150, PS200, CH150, or CH200 will provide a null modem connection similar to those provided in the PS512M and CH512R.

The null modem ports allow two modems to "talk" to each other without a datalogger in between. The 9-pin ports are CS I/O ports rather than RS-232 ports; they supply +5 Vdc on pin 1 and +12 Vdc on pin 8 for our peripherals. This functionality is required in a station where a datalogger will not be present, such as a phone-to-RF base station.

Please note that early PS100s are not compatible with the A100. However, PS100s shipped after 20 January 2004 (serial numbers 1391 and higher) are compatible.
