CS650 on volcanic soils.

m.calispa Oct 10, 2018 02:43 PM

We plan to install several CS650 reflectometers on a study site where the soils are from volcanic origin, with very high amounts of organic matter. According to the User's guide (and also other studies) user-calibration is requried in order to correct posible underestimations of water content from the probes. I would like to know if someone has experience on this procedure, and also if somenone applied these probes on similar applications.

Assuming the conductivity will be high, a CS655 will work better.

The calibration procedure is in the manual for the sensors.
