CR1000 OS failed to update

Samurai Japan Mar 18, 2023 02:56 AM

Hi.
I failed to update my CR1000 from OS version 12 to 32.
I can't boot it anymore.
I have tried various communication speeds, but to no avail.
Do I need to use FTDI's USB to RS232C cable?
Thank you in advance for your help.

If the OS update failed part way through, you will need to use the Send OS tab in Device Configuration Utility to do the update process again.

You need a computer with a built in RS232 port, or a USB to RS232 adapter that uses a FTDI chip. Prolific RS232 chips have been observed to not be reliable enough to complete the process.
