Voltage measurement with CR1000 24-36V DC

Mpunktp Mar 1, 2024 05:20 AM

Hello,

I would like to measure the voltage and current of multiple batterys while charging and discharging using a CR1000. For the voltage, can I simply use a voltage divider (VDIV10:1) and connect the battery directly to the data logger, or do I need to take any other precautions to avoid damaging the logger?

Thank you for the help!

The voltage divider will work if the batteries are not connected in series. When batteries are connected in series, the negative terminal of a battery is not 0V in relation to the datalogger.

You have to consider common mode voltage. The low of the battery should be connected to the ground of the datalogger to keep 0V the same for both.
