The A547 interface consists of blocking capacitors and bridge completion resistors housed in a metal case. Screw terminals are provided for connecting the datalogger, and a water conductivity probe or multiplexer.

Measurement of the CS547(A) via the A547 requires two excitation channels, a differential input for the conductivity measurement, and a single-ended input for the temperature measurement.
The A547 is compatible with AM16/32-series multiplexers. When a multiplexer is used, the sensors connect to the COM terminals of the multiplexer and the multiplexer connects to the sensor terminals of the A547.
A six-conductor cable, three feet in length, is provided with each A547 purchase for connecting it to the datalogger.
In single-sensor applications, the sensor leads connect directly to the A547's terminal strips. In applications with multiple sensors, most customers multiplex the sensors through a multiplexer. In this case, a shielded 4-conductor cable is used to connect the sensor terminals on the A547 with the COM terminals on the multiplexer.
The A547 requires a desiccated, non-condensing environment. The A547's case has mounting flanges for attachment to the 1"-on-center hole grid of Campbell Scientific enclosures. Grommets and screws are provided to attach the flanges to the backplate of our enclosures.
